I’d like to thank my friends on Facebook who occasionally supply me with a quote I can share with you. Such is the case today. You don’t have to have a religious affiliation to appreciate its meaning….but it does refer to a Higher Power who watches over us.
“Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
I would think that almost everyone would want this said to them at the end of their lives. And it’s never too late to start working toward those accolades.
October! It sends roses to your cheeks just thinking about it. A few days ago it snowed in upstate Minnesota. Not kidding.
Here in SoCal, it’s been absolutely gorgeous and I hope you’re getting to spend some time outside to soak up the splendor that is our coastline and our mountains in autumn.
“I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.”
–John Burroughs
What a beautiful problem to have.
I love today’s quotation from a venerable actor/comedian Harvey Fierstein, who’s known his own share of adversity and has come out of it even stronger:
“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made into a victim. Accept no one’s definition fo your life; define yourself.”
–Harvey Fierstein
